Motorcycle Crashes on Road Being Repaved in Ellington

The crash was Thursday, state police said.

ELLINGTON, CT - A Vernon man had an off-road riding experience in more ways than one on Thursday evening.

State police said that at about 6:30 p.m., David Kuhn, 59, of Second Street in Vernon, was riding a 2015 Triumph Benneville motorcycle westbound on Frog Hollow Road. He attempted to make a U-turn on a gravel section of road in the midst of being repaved and lost control of the bike, state police said.

The bike flipped, state police said.

Kuhn was not wearing a helmet, but came out of the crash with minor injuries, state police said.
