New And Improved Ellington’s Seventh Annual Shop Local Campaign Goes Digital
Businesses invited to register by November 23 for holiday shopping promotion

Holiday shoppers will have a new way to support hometown businesses as Ellington’s seventh annual Shop Local campaign introduces a digital platform, with paper bingo cards also available.
Hosted by the Ellington Economic Development Commission, with administrative support from the Tolland County Chamber of Commerce and the Ellington Town Planner’s Office, the campaign encourages residents to keep local businesses on their holiday shopping lists.
The free, voluntary program offers participating businesses an opportunity to attract holiday shoppers while strengthening Ellington’s local economy. From finding gifts close to home to discovering businesses they may not have visited before, shoppers can use the campaign as an invitation to explore what Ellington has to offer.

This year’s move to a digital platform adds a convenient way to take part. Residents and business owners can visit the Shop Ellington 2026 event page to explore the new platform. Paper bingo cards will remain an option for those who prefer them.
Local businesses are encouraged to register by November 23, 2026, to ensure they are featured when the holiday shopping campaign kicks off. Registration is available through the online business registration form or by scanning the QR code on the campaign’s Business Invitation.
