New Information in Ellington Arson Case: Home Damaged by Heat From Burning Cars
State police ares treating the fires as possibly arson.

ELLINGTON, CT — State police said that the heat coming off five vehicle fires at 4 Westview Terrace on Sunday was so intense that it damaged a home in that property.
On Monday, state police issued more information on the investigation into possible arson on the property.
In a case summary released Monday, state police said that at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, troopers were called to five cars ablaze. The cars were unoccupied, but heavily damaged, state police said.

The exterior of the home was damaged by the heat coming off the burning cars, state police said.
No one was hurt, but state police said the fires appear to have been intentionally set.

Damage estimates were still being compiled Monday morning, state police said.
