New Principal Approved For Ellington's Windermere School
The Ellington Board of Education has endorsed the appointment of a new Windermere School principal.

ELLINGTON, CT — The Ellington Board of Education has endorsed the appointment of a new Windermere School principal, Superintendent of Schools Scott Nichol said Thursday.
Jennifer Hill is scheduled to start at the school on July 1, he said.
Hill emerged from a search committee comprised of Board of Education members, teachers, parents, students and administrators. She visited Windermere and spent a half-day interacting with staff, students and parents and was interviewed by the Board of Education, he said.

Hill is currently the director of teaching and learning and an assistant principal in the Columbia public school system, serving students in pre-school through Grade 8.
She spent a decade teaching in South Windsor.

Her tenure there included serving as a mathematics coach and interventionist at the elementary level. She holds a sixth-year in Educational Leadership from Sacred Heart University, a Masters in Mathematics from Central Connecticut State University and she completed her undergraduate work at Keene State College.
