One Fatality Reported in Tuesday Ellington Avenue Fire
The garage fire is currently under investigation by state and local fire marshal offices.
One person died Tuesday in a garage fire at 110 Ellington Ave., according to Scott Cunningham, fire inspector with the Ellington Fire Marshal’s Office.
Cunningham said the dispatcher received a 911 call at 10:13 p.m. Tuesday, and the Ellington Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire, located in a single bay detached garage.
The fire is currently under investigation by the Office of the State Fire Marshal and the Ellington Fire Marshal’s Office.

The Hartford Courant reported the person who died in the fire was a man.
