Pair Accused of Stealing Clothes From Donation Box at Somers Church

One of the suspects admitted to the act, state police said.

SOMERS, CT — Two New York residents are accused of stealing clothes from a donation box at a local church.

Joaquin Gonzalez-Flores, 40, has been charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and Williams Salvatierra-Cabrera, 39, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, state police said.

The incident was on Oct. 23 when state police were notified that a white box truck had pulled into the congregational church parking lot in Somersville and its two occupants began taking clothing from a donation box, according to an arrest report.
