Paving Work Causing Delays in Frog Hollow Area of Ellington
The road is being resurfaced.

ELLINGTON, CT - Motorists should expect more delays in the Frog Hollow corridor this week, Public Works Director Timothy Webb said.
After the roadway has been fully recycled, a double chip seal will be applied this wee to preserve the pavement, he said.
The Ellington Department of Public Works, through its contractor, Highway Rehab. Corp., has been performing "hot in-place asphalt recycling" on Frog Hollow Road through Tuesday, he said.

The operation has been reheating the existing asphalt and add in emulsion "to enhance the asphalt and
profile of the road," Webb said.
Traffic will be detoured from Frog Hollow at Main Street to Middle and Abbott roads, he said.

Emergency vehicles will be allow to travel as needed, he said.
As the work proceeds the traffic will be detoured from Abbott back to Middle or Crane roads.
Webb said.
