Police Identify Woman Killed in Fatal Ellington Crash
A fatal accident took place early Tuesday morning.

State police have identified a woman killed in an early-morning crash in Ellington Tuesday.
Kayla Coffin-Houston, 25, of the North Grosvenordale section of Thompson, was a passenger in a car which went out of control around 12:30 a.m. on Route 83 near Mountain road in Ellington, police said.
Coffin-Houston was thrown from the vehicle, which overturned and rolled on top of her. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the car, Nathan Coles, 24, of Ellington, was airlifted by LifeStar helicopter to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries.
Route 83 re-opened around 5:30 a.m., but the accident is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Connecticut State Police Troop C at 860-896-3200.
