Police Searching for Possible Larceny Suspect

A purse was stolen out of a vehicle at Brookside Park in Ellington.

Police are searching for a man who may be connected to a motor vehicle larceny in Ellington.

On June 5 at approximately 7:20 p.m., state troopers from Troop C and the Ellington Resident Trooper’s Office responded to Brookside Park in Ellington for the report of a larceny into a motor vehicle.

Upon arrival, it was discovered that the rear passenger side window of the victim’s Mini Cooper was smashed and her purse was stolen. The purse was later recovered at a Mr. Sparkle Car Wash in Vernon, but an unknown amount of cash and two debit cards were missing from the purse.

One of the debit cards was later utilized at the Kohl’s and Bob’s department stores in Manchester.

On June 8, video surveillance was obtained from Kohl’s and Bob’s store which revealed a possible suspect.

He is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, in his late 20s or early 30s, and appears to be left handed. The alleged suspect purchased a Nespresso Espresso maker at Kohl’s and Nike sneakers and polo shirts at Bob’s.
