Power Lines Fall On Excavator, Motorcycle In Ellington
Emergency crews rushed to an accident involving downed power lines Tuesday morning.

ELLINGTON, CT — Emergency crews rushed to the scene of an accident involving downed power lines on top of two vehicles in Ellington Tuesday morning.
The initial call came in at about 7 a.m. at Geraldine Drive and Hill Side Drive.
Authorities said utility wires had fallen on an excavator and motorcycle. The excavator operator and a motorcyclist were stuck on their machines as an Eversource Energy crew rushed to help, authorities said.

Shortly before 8 a.m., Tolland County 911 reported the "scene had been made safe" and neither operator sustained any injuries.
ELLINGTON UPDATE: @EversourceCT is on scene now. The scene has been made safe. Both operators are not injured and are safely off their machines.
