Power Outages Affecting Most of North-Central Connecticut
As of 6:15 a.m. Thursday, 63 percent of Eversource customers were without power in Somers, while four other area towns were over 10 percent.

North-central Connecticut was drilled with a wild storm during the overnight hours, causing considerable power outages in most communities. Somers was hardest hit, with Eversource Energy reporting 2,591 customers, or just over 63 percent of the town without power as of 6:15 a.m. Thursday.
More than 2,875 customers are without power in Vernon, comprising 17.53 percent of the town. Other big percentages are reported in Canton (14.71), Ellington (13.30) and Granby (10.06).
Other Patch-covered Hartford and Tolland county towns with more than 1,000 customers still affected are West Hartford (1,428), South Windsor (1,171) and Enfield (1,097).
