Power Problem Closes Roads in Somers
A furry friend seemed to have caused all the commotion.
SOMERS, CT — One squirrel and three roads.
It all added up to a big mess in Somers during the evening rush hour.
At about 5 p.m. portions of Billings Road, Egypt Road and Field Road were closed.

State police cars and trucks from Eversource Energy were working on the power system on Billings Road. A trooper at the scene blamed a squirrel that somehow became entangled in the transmission system for all the commotion.
