Prescription Drug Take Back Event

Do your part to keep prescription drugs out of the wrong hands!

Saturday, April 27th is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Somers Comes Together, in partnership with the Somers Resident Troopers and Somers Fire Department, will be hosting a prescription take back event at the Somers Senior Center located at 19 Battle Street in Somers from 10am-2pm. Individuals are encouraged to bring their expired, unused, or unwanted prescriptions drugs and other medications for proper disposal. The event is free and anonymous. However, those who attend the event are able to enter into a drawing to win a $50 gift card. Somers Comes Together will be on site to provide information and free giveaways. A drive thru option is available for those who would prefer to remain in their vehicles. Most Americans misusing prescription drugs get them for free from friends and family. Proper disposal can help prevent prescription drugs from falling into the wrong hands. For more information email SomersComesTogether@somersct.gov.
