Principal Seemingly Out at Ellington High School
The superintendent of schools will be taking over for a month until a planned replacement arrives early, an email indicates.

ELLINGTON, CT — The Ellington High School principal is seemingly out for the rest of the school year and the school system brass is not elaborating on exactly why.
Here is the text of an e-mail sent out by the principal's office at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday:
March 20, 2018
Dear Ellington High School Community -
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I will be serving as the Ellington High School principal on a limited basis this Spring. I ask that you are respectful of my privacy at this time.
Beginning on Wednesday, March 21st through Friday, April 20th, the day-to-day operations of running Ellington High School will be led by Dr. Scott Nicol, Superintendent of Schools.
On Monday, April 23rd, Mr. John Guidry will take over the day-to-day operations. As many of you know, Mr. Guidry was appointed by the Ellington Board of Education as my replacement starting July 1, 2018. I would like to thank Mr. Guidry and the West Hartford Public Schools for allowing his early start.
I plan to be involved in many of the Spring award ceremonies and events, including organizing and speaking at graduation.
As an Ellington resident and the principal, I care deeply about the Ellington High School community. I am confident that all of us will work together to ensure a great close to the school year.
I will see you all throughout the Spring!
Sincerely,
Neil Rinaldi,
Principal
