Raging Fire Consumes Horse Farm In Ellington [VIDEO]
Fire companies from at least five towns assisted at a severe blaze at an Ellington horse stable Friday morning.

ELLINGTON, CT — A raging fire erupted at an Ellington horse farm Friday morning, sending plumes of thick black smoke high into the air which were visible from miles away.
A barn was fully engulfed in flames when emergency personnel arrived at 267 Jobs Hill Road around 9:25 a.m. Tanker trucks were called in from neighboring Somers, Crystal Lake, Tolland and West Stafford; they were being filled at a hydrant more than a mile away, in front of High Meadow Apartments at the corner of Jobs Hill and Muddy Brook roads.
The address is listed as Hillside Stable, which provides horse boarding, riding lessons and camps. According to its website, the business moved to the site in July 2019.
