ELLINGTON-SOMERS, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Cedarville University, Cedarville OH

• Amanda Moffitt of Ellington was named to the Cedarville University Dean's Honor List for the fall 2019 semester. This recognition required Moffitt to maintain a 3.75 GPA for the semester while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Dean College, Franklin MA

• Dean College is pleased to announce Peyton Emrick and Ethan Lessard, both of Somers, have earned a place on the Dean's List for the fall 2019 semester. These students have demonstrated a serious commitment to their studies while at Dean College.

Pensacola Christian College, Pensacola FL

• Julia Galbraith of Somers and Jack Krogman of Ellington were named to the Dean's List by Dr. Troy Shoemaker, president of Pensacola Christian College, for academic achievement during the 2019 fall semester.

Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven CT

• Five local students were named to the SCSU Dean's List for the fall 2019 semester. They are Lilly Macfadyen, Megan Sack, Joshua Prouty and Joshua Stone, all of Ellington, and Carley Bergamini of Somers. In order for undergraduate students to qualify for the dean's list, students must complete 12.0 or more credits in fall or spring and earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or better.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• Springfield College recognized the following local students for making the Dean's List during the 2019 fall semester. ELLINGTON: Lucas VanDeventer, Communication/Sport Journalism; Halie Glowacki, Health Science/Pre-physician Assistant; April Phelps, Health Science/Pre-physician Assistant; Dakota Aldrich, Health Science and Pre-Physical Therapy. Criteria for selection to the dean's list requires that the student must have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.500 for the semester.
