Red Cross Blood Drive Set For Somers Town Hall

SOMERS, CT — The American Red Cross will host a blood drive in Somers this week, with only a handful of appointments still available.

The drive is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 24 at Somers Town Hall, 600 Main St., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Officials say winter months often bring a drop in donations, even as hospitals continue to rely on a steady blood supply for surgeries, cancer treatments and emergency care.

Appointments are encouraged to ensure availability, though walk-ins may be accepted if space allows. Donors are asked to bring a photo ID and to be in good health at the time of donation.
