Report Issued On Ellington Fire Hydrant Crash
State police have completed a report on a Thanksgiving crash in Ellington involving a fire hydrant.

ELLINGTON, CT — State police said it was a 2017 Honda Santa Fe that bowled over a fire hydrant on West Road on Thanksgiving Day.
The driver, a 33-year-old woman from Stafford, was cited for evading an accident scene and a lane violation and is due in court on Dec.11, a report indicates.
The crash took place at 4:02 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. The Santa Fe was traveling north on West Road near the intersection of Highland Avenue when it veered off the road and struck a hydrant, according to a report.

The driver left the scene, but was tracked down at the Johnny Appleseed's Farm parking lot, state police said.
