Oil Truck Rolls Over in Ellington

An oil truck rolled over and landed on its side Wednesday afternoon near the fire station at 316 Sandy Beach Road in the Crystal Lake section of Ellington, according to NBC Connecticut.

NBC reports that state police are asking residents to stay off the roads if at all possible.

NBC reports emergency crews helped rescue the driver of the tanker, which was carrying heating oil, and firefighters cleaned up a small fuel spill around 2 p.m.
