
ELLINGTON, CT — Town officials are telling residents to get ready for two road projects.
The Ellington Public Works Department will be starting road work on Monday, Aug. 7, on Cider Mill Road and Strawberry Road. Garrity Asphalt will be milling the road down 1.5 inches.
Residents are being asked to not park on the road starting Thursday.

After the milling work is done, the roads will be paved by Galasso Industries.
The paving will take place during the same week, weather permitting.

Chip sealing work is scheduled for Crane and Broad Brook roads on Friday, Aug. 4, weather permitting.
All-States Asphalt will be using a covering made from 20 percent recycled rubber from tires, but the process will leave some loose stone after the application. The Contractor will sweep the roadway shortly after the material is applied.
Residents are being asked to not park in the road beginning Monday.
