Driver Injured After Car Hits Utility Pole In Somers
Town officials announced a multi-hour closure of Main Street following a car vs. pole accident.
SOMERS, CT — Main Street (Route 190) has reopened after being closed Wednesday morning following a car vs. utility pole crash, town officials said.
According to the Town of Somers, the road reopened at about 8:15 a.m. Power line repairs are still ongoing, and traffic is limited to one lane, so drivers should expect delays.

The crash occurred earlier between Ninth District/Sokol Road and Route 83 (Springfield Road) and brought down a utility pole and wires. State police said the driver suffered minor injuries.
Motorists are urged to use caution while crews continue repair work in the area.
