Runaway Car Hits Street Sign in Somers

The car rolled away and hit a sigh, state police said.

SOMERS, CT — A runaway car took out a street sign in Somers this week, state police said.

The incident took place on Tuesday at 8:37 p.m., state police said.

An unoccupied car at 178 Springfield Road was parked at the residence facing east, state police said.

It rolled out of the driveway onto Route 83, crossed the road and hit a street sign, state police said.

The car had minor damage to it, state police said.
