Sandy Beach At Crystal Lake Opens With Guidelines

ELLINGTON, CT — A sunny weekend with temperatures approaching 90 degrees greets the opening of Sandy Beach at Crystal Lake Saturday, as do a number of policy changes brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.

For the 2020 season, the beach will be open to Ellington residents only. Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends, and 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays. Day pass rates are $7 for adults, $5 for children and $1 for senior citizens. Payment is by credit card or check only; no cash will be accepted.

The Ellington Recreation Department has posted the following rules to be observed this season.
