Saturday Crash Takes Out Pole in Ellington
The pole was broken as a result of the incident, authorities said.
ELLINGTON, CT — Meadow Brook Road was closed Saturday night after a vehicle slammed into a utility pole, Tolland County 911 reported.
The pole was broken, authorities said.
Ellington firefighters and an ambulance crew from Somers responded to the scene, according to Tolland County 911.

A crew from Eversource Energy was also at the scene, according to Tolland County 911.
The crash took place at about 10:30 p.m. and was not far from the Somers Road intersection, according to Tolland County 911.
