ELLINGTON – The annual Phipps and Schoelzel Scholarships are available to Connecticut women pursuing an advanced degree in an institution of higher learning. In order to be considered an applicant must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree program, have completed two or more years of college, and have a minimum grade point average of 3.0. Awards are granted on the basis of financial need, future promise, and scholarship ability. Schoelzel Scholarship applicants must be in the field of Education. These scholarships are sponsored by the General Federation of the Women’s Clubs (GFWC/CT). Personal references and full financial disclosure are required. The deadline for all applications is Feb. 10, 2016.
