ELLINGTON, CT — A missing Windermere School student who prompted a CT Alert and a police search Thursday afternoon has been found safe, according to town officials.

Officials said the child, a 10-year-old boy who was reported missing after last being seen around midday, has been located and is safe. No further details about where the child was found or the circumstances leading up to the alert were released.

Connecticut State Police had issued the alert after the student was last seen shortly after noon, triggering concern from school officials and local authorities and prompting calls for the public’s help.
