Snowmobiler From Somers Seriously Injured In New Hampshire Crash
Rescue personnel had to access the injured man from over a mile away, according to a New Hampshire Fish and Game official.

NORTH CONWAY, NH — A snowmobiler from Somers sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries Monday morning when his rented machine crashed into a large boulder, according to New Hampshire Fish and Game Sgt. Alex Lopashanski.
Zachrey Mesa, 37, was riding in the back of a group of four machines on Corridor 19 when he failed to negotiate a downhill left-hand turn in the trail around 9:30 a.m. The other members of his group stopped at an intersection and, realizing Mesa was missing, went back and found him at the scene, then called 911 for assistance, Lopashanski said.
The closest access point was over a mile from Mesa’s location. Members of the North Conway Fire Department stabilized his injuries and utilized a tracked side by side with an attached rescue sled to bring him out to a waiting ambulance. He was taken to the Memorial Hospital in North Conway for treatment, Lopashanski said.
