Somers Boys Get Votes in Weekly Lacrosse Poll
The Spartans opened the season with a lopsided shutout victory.

SOMERS, CT — A high-powered offense seems to be the key to the Somers High School boys lacrosse team's success in the early part of the 2018 season.
The Spartans crushed Canton 19-0 in the season opener last week, earning them some support from voters in the latest weekly poll of coaches and media members. After balloting was completed, Somers routed Ellington 17-1 on Tuesday.
Somers is slated for home matches against Rockville/Stafford and East Catholic this week.
