Somers Collects Votes in Latest Boys Lacrosse Poll

The Spartans finished regular season play with a 15-1 record.

SOMERS, CT — Southwestern Connecticut teams dominated the final GameTimeCT.com regular season poll of high school boys lacrosse, with eight schools from Fairfield County placing in the top nine.

Darien (16-0), one of only two undefeated teams in the state, was a unanimous selection as top team, followed by Wilton and Greenwich.

Somers (15-1) did not make the top 10, but received some voter support in the latest balloting.

  3. Greenwich (12-4)
  4. New Canaan (11-3)
  5. Ridgefield (13-3)
  6. Fairfield Prep (13-3)
  7. Staples (11-5)
  8. Glastonbury (13-3)
  9. New Fairfield (14-2)
  10. South Windsor (16-0)

Also receiving votes: North Haven (13-2), Somers (15-1), Cheshire (12-4), Newtown (9-7), Trumbull (11-5).
