Somers Cub Scouts To Hold Food Drive
The Saturday drive in Somers will collect unexpired food and personal care items for Champ's Place.
SOMERS, CT — Somers Cub Scout Pack 83 is planning a food drive this weekend to support Champ’s Place.
The donation drive is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to noon at Geissler’s in Somers Crossing Plaza, 95 South Road.

According to the event flyer, organizers are asking residents to donate unexpired, non-perishable food only. The flyer also lists a number of personal care and household items as needed.

Among the most-needed items listed are pancake mix, mac and cheese, cereal, canned chili, sloppy joe sauce, canned pasta, canned hash, canned beets, canned corn, Spam, crackers and decaf tea. Toiletries and household items listed include toilet paper, dish soap, toothpaste, deodorant, disposable razors and shaving cream.
The food drive is being organized by Somers Cub Scout Pack 83. The donations will go to Champ’s Place.
