Somers Election Overview 2019 - Selectmen, Board of Education

SOMERS, CT — Municipal elections around the country are just under three weeks away, and the ballot in Somers contains a full slate of candidates for first selectman, Board of Selectmen and Board of Education.

Incumbent First Selectman Bud Knorr, a Republican, is being challenged by petitioning candidates Linda Louise LaCasse and Ann Logan. Democratic Board of Selectmen member Timothy Potrikus is seeking to retain his seat, while challenging Republicans Tim Keeney and Ralph Williams and Democrat Terri Schmidt also seek election.

Candidates for spots on the Board of Education include incumbent Democrat Anne Kirkpatrick, and Republican challengers Sylvie Sanchez, Krista Cherry and Marissa Marks.

Here is a sample ballot for all elected offices in Somers, as provided by the Secretary of the State. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
