Somers, Ellington Both Crack Top 10 in Boys Soccer Poll

Both the Spartans and Knights have more than doubled their opponents' scoring totals thus far this season.

For the second straight week, E.O. Smith and Granby Memorial high schools rank atop the Connecticut Soccer Coaches Association boys polls.

E.O. Smith (8-0) is ranked first in Classes LL-L, while Granby Memorial (8-0-1) sets the pace in Classes M-S.

Somers (8-2) placed sixth in the most recent M-S balloting, while Ellington (6-1) moved up to eighth.

Here are the top 10 plus all other schools receiving votes in each division, with records through Oct. 2:
