Somers, Ellington's Easter Weekend Forecast Includes Thunderstorms

The good news is there is no snow in the forecast, finally, but rain and thunderstorms are possible.

With the holiday weekend rapidly approaching, we’ll let you know if the weather is planning to cooperate, especially if you have travel plans or just want to venture outdoors after a long cold and snowy winter.

And yes, there is no snow or frigid temperatures in this forecast, which is a welcome relief.

But the forecast has switched from snow to the possibility of thunderstorms Friday night, and if you’re traveling Friday night you’ll have to contend with areas of fog, according to the National Weather Service.

Also 60 degrees is possible on Friday but it will be rainy and cloudy.

If you have plans to attend an outdoor Easter Egg hunt this weekend, the good news is the rain is expected to end late Friday and the sun appears on Saturday. Sunday should be an almost perfect day with bright sunshine and a high of 50 degrees.
