The ColonialFlower Shoppe in Somers is a winner!
The Somers Business of the Month honor for March has been awarded to the Colonial Flower Shoppe at 411 Main Street. First Selectman Timothy Keeney presented the award at the store to store owner Deborah Farnham. Colonial Flowers was selected in recognition of their strong reputation for customer service, their work at supporting the business climate in Somers, and their financial contributions to town efforts, especially the Cultural Affairs Commission. The Business of the Month is sponsored by the Somers Economic Development Commission.
The award is made through consumer nomination, based on a variety of criteria, such as customer service, innovative products, sponsoring a youth project, and longevity in business. The entire list of criteria is on the Town of Somers website and any customer may nominate a Somers business. Nominations can be made at EDCSomers@gmail.com or regular mail at EDC, 600 Main Street, Somers, 06071.
