Somers Food Drive This Saturday Will Help Stock Shelves

Donors can drop off food, hygiene items and pet food without leaving their cars.

SOMERS, CT — A quick stop in Somers this weekend could help put food and basic supplies into the hands of local families who need them.

A drive-thru food drive is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, at Champ’s Place at Somers Congregational Church, 599 Main St. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine.

The donation drive is being hosted by American Legion Riders Chapter 101 in support of the community. Organizers are asking people to give practical, everyday items that can make a real difference for households trying to keep up with basic needs.
