A Somers man has been charged with several violent crimes.

SOMERS, CT — A man accused of smacking someone upside the head with a gun handle in a violent, two-part assault incident posed a six-figure bond on Monday in Rockville Superior Court.

Patrick Maia, 44, was arraigned in Rockville Superior Court on Monday after his arrest on a dozen charges, a clerk at the court said. He was arrested on Saturday and was being held on a $250,000 bond, state police records indicate. It was reduced to $150,000 surety in court and Maia posted it, a clerk said.
