Somers Man Faces Drug Charges Following Motor Vehicle Stop
West Hartford police say the man was found to be in possession of a large amount of heroin.
A Somers man faces several charges after police said he was found to be in the possession of a large quantity of heroin following a motor vehicle stop in West Hartford.
Jeffrey McCauley, 30, of Hall Hill Road in Somers, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. on May 24 by West Hartford police on DUI patrol.
McCauley was arrested on charges of failure to drive in proper lane, illegal possession of marijuana, illegal manufacture, distribution, sale of prescription drug, sale/possession with intent to sell within 1500’ of prohibited place, manufacture/sale/administer of restricted sub: drugs, failure to keep drug in original container, illegal possession, illegal possession near school, possession of drug paraphernalia, interfering with an officer, illegal obtaining or supplying, illegal manufacture, distribution, sale of prescription drug, illegal possession, making improper turn and restricted turns fail signal.

McCauley was held on a $50,000 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 4.
