Somers Man in his 70s Facing Serious Assault Charge

He was taken into custody on Friday, state police said.

SOMERS, CT — A Somers man in his 70s spent the weekend in the lockup on a high bond after his arrest on Friday for second-degree assault, a state police arrest report indicates.

The exact address of Arnold Levine, 76, of Somers and the exact location of the incident were redacted in an arrest report, but state police said they were called to a disturbance in town at 9:26 p.m. on Friday. After being arrested, Levine spent the weekend in the lockup on a $100,000 bond and was to appear in Rockville Superior Court Tuesday, according to an arrest report.

He was charged with disorderly conduct and and interfering with an officer in addition to the assault charge.
