Somers Obituary: David Taravella, 74

David Lawrence Taravella, 74 of Somers, entered into eternal rest, on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center, Hartford.

He was born on Sept. 26, 1944 in Hartford, a son of the late Lawrence and Columbia (Ceccarini) Taravella. He was a lifelong resident of the greater Hartford area, having graduated from Windsor Locks High School.

Prior to retiring, David was a local self-employed contractor. He loved his kids and grandkids, riding his motorcycle, telling jokes and making others laugh; his sense of humor would light up the room where ever he went.

David is survived by his children, David and Jeffrey Bittner of Allendale, NJ, Dina Cochran of Feeding Hills, MA, Amanda and Brian Pizzimenti of Somers, Justin and Jessica Taravella of Ludlow, MA and Dan and Sue Taravella of Enfield; his beloved grandchildren, Anthony and Aaron Goodin, Mishka Pizzimenti, Lizz and Belle Taravella, and Alyssa Taravella; his cherished great grandson, Niklas Goodin; and a brother, Lawrence Taravella of Windsor.

Funeral services are at the convenience of his family.
