Somers Obituary: Stefney Kusia, 89

Stefney Kusia, 89, a lifelong resident of Somers, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Evergreen Health Care Center in Stafford.

She was born on May 11, 1926 in Somers, the daughter of the late Vincent and Rosalie (Kulas) Suleski. Stefney was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court All Saints #1435. Stefney was also a member of the Buck-Dubiel American Legion Auxiliary Post #101. She was an avid cult movie fan, she enjoyed her pets, and was a Halloween enthusiast.

Stefney is survived by two daughters, Pauline Spingola and her husband Reginald of Somers, and Gloria Kusia-Kondracki and her husband Anthony of Somers; a cherished granddaughter Melissa Rose Kusia of Somers; and a brother Raymond Suleski of Ludlow. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony Kusia, and her son, Henry Kusia, as well as her siblings Frank, Edward, Stanley, Jean, and Sophie.

Relatives and friends may join the family for visitation hours on Friday, September 4th , 2015 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main Street, Somers. A funeral service will follow visitation hours at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Somers Center Cemetery.
