Three families which live on County Road were affected by the change, and they came to Monday night’s school board meeting to protest the decision, according to the Journal Inquirer.

The decision came about as a result of a minor accident in February, when a school bus slid off the roadway in snowy conditions. Despite the continuation of service for the remainder of the 2014-15 school year with a shorter bus, the street was dropped from the bus route for this year.
Parents complained the change came just days before the start of the new school year, despite the decision being made over the summer, the JI reported.
