Somers Pharmacy Closes Abruptly

Customers are being directed to a chain pharmacy.

SOMERS, CT — A longtime staple in the local business community has closed as residents heading to Somers Pharmacy found out they had to go to a chain to get their medicine.

Signs were posted at the 629 Main St. property informing residents of the development.

The pharmacy has “joined the Rite Aid family,” the postings said.

Rite Aid spokeswoman Kristin Kellum, told the Journal Inquirer that prescriptions had been transferred to the Rite Aid at 71 Palomba Drive in Enfield.
