Somers Residents May Qualify For Connecticut Renters’ Rebate Program
The program is open to qualifying seniors and some disabled renters who paid rent in 2025.
SOMERS, CT — Somers Human Services is starting applications Wednesday for Connecticut’s Renters’ Rebate Program and is encouraging residents to call to see if they qualify.
According to the department, the program is open to Somers residents age 65 and older who have lived in Connecticut for at least one year and paid rent in 2025. Residents under 65 may also qualify if they are 100 percent disabled and receive SSI or SSDI.
The posted income limits are up to $46,300 for a single applicant and up to $56,500 for a married couple.

Somers Human Services said residents applying for the program will need their 2025 rental payment history, proof of 2025 income, water payment history, Eversource payment history and gas payment history. Income documents can include Social Security, SSI, pension or earned income records.
Applications will be accepted from April 1 through Sept. 30.
