Somers Runner Dusts Field in NCCC Cross Country Meet

Both varsity teams from Ellington captured second place in the annual league meet.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — A Somers girl blew away the competition and a Canton boy also prevailed by a healthy margin in the North Central Connecticut Conference cross country championships Saturday at Windsor Locks High School.

On the boys' side, Maximillian Sparks of Canton crossed the finish line in 16:09.06, more than 14 seconds ahead of Suffield's Kyle Englander.
