The amazing kids from Mabelle B. Avery Middle School Community Involvement Team are returning to the Somers Senior Center on Friday March 24th from 4pm-6pm bringing food and fun! This year’s theme is “Generation Gap Games” and the menu will blend generational favorites (meatloaf sliders, sweet potato fries, jello mold, etc.) Tickets are $5 and available until March 17th.
Qigong ($5 per class) meets on Fridays at 9:15am. Try your first class free! Chair Aerobics is held Mondays and Thursdays at 10am free of charge (done with an instructional video). Bingo takes place on Thursdays from 12-3:30pm. The Knitting Group meets on Tuesdays at 9am and the Art Group meets Friday mornings from 9am-12pm. Join us for a game of Pitch (Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 1pm), Pinochle (Tuesdays at 12:30), Bridge (Thursdays at 6:30pm), Wii Bowling or Dominoes (both held Wednesdays at 1pm)! Diabetes support group meets the first Friday of each month at 2pm.

The Somers Senior Center’s David Gwilliam Mohegan Sun Casino bus trip will take place on Friday, March 17th. You do not have to be a senior or a resident of Somers for this trip. Bus will leave promptly at 8:30am from the Somers Senior Center and will return at approximately 5:30pm. Trip cost of $25 per person includes round-trip deluxe motor coach, two $10 Gambling Vouchers, a $15 food voucher, and the driver’s gratuity. Non-refundable payment is due upon sign-up. Only a few seats remain!
Saturday April 29th: West Point Academy invites you to view the famous Dress Parade conducted with great pomp and circumstance on the parade grounds. The cadets march in full uniform, in cadence with the military music, presenting arms in unison. You will enjoy a bountiful buffet lunch at the West Point Club featuring a wonderful assortment of salads, hot & cold entrees and delicious desserts. A guided tour of West Point will include Cadet Chapel, Trophy Point, and the Hudson River lookout. All passengers are required to bring valid identification. Total cost is $99pp and includes motor coach transportation, buffet lunch, parade and tour. Deadline to sign up is March 29th. Open to all!

Wednesday May 24th: Westchester dinner theater located in Elmsford, NY is an elegant, year round equity theater, featuring fine dining and full scale musical productions. Once seated at your reserved table, you’ll select from an excellent menu and enjoy a pre-show lunch. After lunch, it’s a matinee performance of “Mamma Mia!”: Abba’s greatest hits woven into 3 wonderful love stories.
