SOMERS, CT — A Rhode Island resident struck it rich on a CT Lottery scratch ticket she purchased recently at a Somers gas station and convenience store.

Meghan Porreca of Cranston, R.I. won the top prize of $30,000 in the 30X Cash 7th Edition game. She bought her winning ticket at the Small Town Sunoco station at 169 Main St. in Somersville, and claimed her winnings Tuesday.

The CT Lottery posts winners of $10,000 or more as public record.
