Somers Teen Facing Obscenity Charge for Internet Postings

The case dates back nearly a year, state police said.

SOMERS, CT — A local teen is facing an obscenity charge for for posting what state police describe in an arrest report as "obscene material" posted on the Internet via Instagram.

The teen was 17 at the time and the case dates back to June 26, 2016. The teen was arrested on Sunday, state police said.

State police in an arrest report listed four 17-year-olds, a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old as "victims."

The teen has also been charged with breach of peace and is due for a juvenile hearing on June 20, state police said.
