Spring Practice Underway: Ellington, Somers Team Title Histories
The state title history for Ellington and Somers high school spring teams, plus the 2023 varsity schedules for Knight and Spartan squads.
ELLINGTON-SOMERS, CT — The winter sports season is now behind us, the first day of spring has officially arrived and practices are now underway for all seven CIAC-sanctioned spring sports in Connecticut. With the coming of the new season comes the hope for success, with the ultimate goal being winning a state championship.
Ellington High School's 10 spring team state titles date back to 1971, while the first of seven state crowns for Somers spring teams came in 1990.
Here are the state championships won by Knight and Spartan teams in springs past, as well as a link to this season's varsity schedules.
