State Police: Darting Deer Drives Car into a Ditch in Somers
The crash was early Friday morning.

SOMERS, CT — A wayward deer caused a car to wind up in a ditch on Friday on Gulf Road, state police said.
At 2:19 a.m. on Friday, a 2010 Honda Civic driven by 24-year-old Michael Marsters of Somers was traveling north on Gulf Road, just south of the Route 190 interchange, according to an accident report.
He told state police he then swerved to avoid a deer, according to an accident report.

The car veered off the road and into a ditch and eventually hot a tree, according to an accident report.
Marsters refused medical attention at the scene, state police said.
