State Police Investigating Fatal Crash In Ellington

State police are looking for witnesses as they investigate a fatal crash on Route 140 in Ellington.

ELLINGTON, CT — State police are looking for witnesses as they investigate a crash on Route 140 in Ellington that claimed the life of a 26-year-old local man.

The crash took place just before 1 a.m., and Sean Ruel, of Ellington, was killed, according to state police. He crashed on a curve and hit an embankment off the right shoulder, according to state police. Fire officials said the vehicle flipped.

Route 140 was closed for some time.
